Ingredients for Carrot Halwa with Rose Recipe

  • Carrot grated 2 cups

  • Milk 3 cups

  • Ghee 5 tablespoons

  • Jaggery (gur) grated 3/4 cup

  • Mixed nuts 1/2 cup

  • Khoya/mawa grated 1 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Rose water 2 teaspoon

  • Saffron (kesar) a few strands

Method

Step 1

Heat ghee in a non stick pan add carrots and saute for five minutes.

Step 2

Add milk and cook till milk is absorbed.

Step 3

Add jaggery, khoya, cardamon powder, rose water and saffron and saute for a minute.

Step 4

Serve hot.
